What is a two shot and how can it be used?
A two shot is when there are two characters in the frame and on of them can be blurred out. It was used in cuffs when Ryan tells the prisoner that they don't care about what their parents do and the camera unblurs Jake suggesting Ryan was talking about how Jake's dad is the only reason he is in the police force. (Jake's dad is the chief of police).
Mostly correct: a two shot has two people in the frame. There is no requirement for one to be out of focus. In the case that we discussed in class, you are correct in remembering that there is a focus pull.
