Task 3

Part 1: The Lego movie is rated a U which means there isn't any offensive or inappropriate language. Warner Bros have included fight scenes which are allowed as they don't include blood and gore as they are only for 15 and 18 rating of films/movies.  The Lego figures kick and punch at each other, while leaping around in fantastical style and by no means does it include aggression or suffering.

Part 2: The PEGI 3 game will not contain any inappropriate content, but it may be too difficult for younger children to master. On the other hand, some PEGI 18 games are fairly simple to play but contain features that are inappropriate for a younger audience. The Lego Movie game is somewhere in between these two ends of the spectrum.

Table Top Filming

For our table top filming we put a selection of items that were all based on a murder investigation.  We placed a phone over the table and slowly moved the next object. We spent a longer period of time on key items like the picture of the girl and the front of the news paper stating a girl had gone missing. This meant that the person watching it could build up a rough understanding about the genre and theme of the film.

For our logo production we used a car breaking sound affect to make it sound better and more realistic.  We did not have time to put a track down under the film.

CULTURAL, SOCIAL AND HISTORICAL CONTENT

The Cold War

In the Observer, I learnt that in the 1960's everyone was worried about the cold war. The cold war was tension between the United States and the Soviet union. They both started of as allies but they have started to aggregate each other and this has led to them both to start to threaten each other. People were concerned that this would lead to nuclear war which would wipe out the whole country as the bombs are very dangerous and will do a lot of damage. Both the United States and the Soviet union both had  a hatred towards each other as they both were wanting different ideas. The soviets wanted to expand into Eastern Europe which concerned many Americans as they thought the Soviets were planning an invasion over America. The soviets claimed that they were just trying to help create peace after hearing the views that the Americans had about them expanding into Eastern Europe.

Emmet Portrayed

We start with the Lego movie. Watch the official trailer here

Task 1: how does Emmet come across? How effective would this trailer be in promoting the film?

Emmet is portrayed as an ordinary person but has the potential to be someone special. He is very cheerful and happy as he doesn't ever show any case of sadness and he is always up beat and making the most of who he is. To be 'special' it comes with personality traits and physical traits such as: being brave, a good leader and big and strong. When he follows wild style and is talking to all the other hero's he says that he doesn't look like a good leader and that your right by thinking that. Everyone then starts shouting and throwing things to show a sign of hate that he isn't the person that would save the city.

This trailer helps promoting the film as it shows people a quick debrief of the story without showing anything important. They make people want to watch this as they make the trailer funny. The 'theme' song of this movie is a very catchy song will helps people notice this brand and type of movie when people hear the song.

BLOG OPERA

We went onto Google Arts and Culture and created a 45 second TV ad break. Afterwards, we created a flyer to advertise our music.
